Entrepreneurial Motivation

The decision to start a business is the beginning of your Entrepreneurial journey. Once you have done this you must learn the strategies necessary to maintain and improve on the mindset that prompted you to the decision in the first place. You must learn how to internally motivate yourself in order to consistently navigate the challenges that you will inevitably face. Here are two steps will help you to that end.

  • Protect and Preserve your Positive Mindset
Now that you have cultivated your 'garden' of entrepreneurial ideas and possibilities you must not allow it to  become overrun by the weeds of discouragement.  Do not allow the budding plants of your ideas to become infected with the seeds of inaction and discontent. Clearly am speaking metaphorically here but you get the idea, the people who will, from the onset of their awareness of your desire to change your circumstances, speak negative and discouraging words are to be avoided. People who haven't changed will find it difficult believing that someone else can or has for that matter. The environment where they congregate is to be avoided. Your ideas must not be shared with them, they are like leaches that will suck the positivity out of any idea they come across. This will not be an easy task at times as these people are sometimes in your inner circle, your family and friends. Thread lightly here, separate the personal from the business so as not to be drawn into negativity or otherwise destroy a personal connection outside of your business life.
  • Live To Learn from Those you Admire- The Positive and Enthusiastic Ones
Only take advice and counsel from those whose lifestyles you admire. In other words, if you are told by someone who is not just financially broke but mentally and spiritually broke as well that this or that won't work do not engage them but  remove or limit their access to you.  Find out where positive motivated people are assembling and reach out to them. Don't worry they'll speak your language-you'll fit right in. Use the great Internet Tool, Google  to find a network of like minded people or the kinds of Books that will  Motivate and Inspire you to reach for the next level.

For you to sustain your Internal Motivation you Must distance yourself from those who are negative while proactively seeking out the those who are positive from whom you can learn. Do this and your Entrepreneurial  fires will remain lit.

Live to Learn and you will Learn how to Live
